Webtoon is an explodingly popular website that provides access to free comics to readers. Webtoon allows artists who aren’t quite popular to display their artwork and storylines so that others may read and review them.
Many of the published artists on Webtoon have other jobs rather than just their artwork. This outlook provides different views for storylines that help to connect to readers more.
Webtoon has a variety of genres to browse.
From the usual genres such as Drama, Comedy, Fantasy, Action, Romance, Historical, Sci-Fi and Horror, Webtoon also includes more rare varieties such as Superhero, Thriller, Heartwarming, Sports, Informative, and Slice of Life.
Slice of Life comics are perhaps my favorite. These comics are basically short strips that describe an everyday situation through a comedic lens. The artists typically focus mainly on the storylines they’re telling or on the expressions of their characters.
While some Slice of Life artists and writers prefer to delve further into their craft by going above and beyond with details and sketch work, other art styles are quite basic.
These comics are a fun way to relate to everyday trivialities and slip-ups. The short stories are relatable and amusing and provide a unique outlook into the life of the artist.
Perhaps my top 3 Slice of Life comics on Webtoon are Bluechair (by Shen), My Giant Nerd Boyfriend (by fishball) and Safely Endangered (by Chris McCoy).

My sister likes webtoons more than me. Her favorite genres are romance and slice of life. Lore Olympus is one of her top 3 comics at the moment.
I've only read a bit of My Giant Nerd Boyfriend. It's cute and simplistic. Compared to other genres, slice of life is definitely easier to understand and easier to relate to.
